Graveside services for Zora Mae Ephraim, 81, will be held Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Bethlehem Cemetery in DeBerry, TX. at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow. Viewing will be Friday, June 21, 2024, at Lewis Funeral Home from  1 to 8:00 p.m. Mrs. Ephraim was born August 28, 1942, in DeBerry, TX. and died June 5, 2024, in Desoto, TX.

Mrs. Zora Mae Adams Ephraim was born to the late Elsie Adams on August 28, 1942, in DeBerry, Texas. She attended Panola Public Schools and was affiliated with the Tabernacle C.M.E. church and Church of the Living God. In her later years, she moved to Dallas, Texas and eventually retired from Medical Arts Hospital. She was a dedicated worker for 28 years.

Sister Zora Ephraim was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Fred "Peter" Ephraim; her mother, Elsie Adams; uncle, Blanch Adams; aunts, Harriet Powell, Myrtle Lloyd, Kate Turner, Ira Dell Simmons, Betty Jo Turner, and Annie V. Rosborough.

Those left to cherish her memory: one cousin/daughter, Brenda Davis of Marshall, TX.; one grandson, Tyrone Watson of Marshall, TX.; one great granddaughter, Amaya Watson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends especially Shirley Jeffcoat and Delta Watson. A special care team: Eva Watson, the Collier family, Mr. and Mrs. Leftridge, and Virginia Bennett. A special Thank You to Park Village Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Desoto, TX.
