William Henery was born November 7, 1930, in Childersburg, Alabama. William was the middle son of Robert Lemon and Minnie Watkins Lemon.

During his high school years, William played football and basketball. William found his place in the United States Army, where he served for twenty years plus. During that time, he was joined in holy matrimony with Nettie Jean (Walton) Lemon.

While in the U.S. Army, Mr. Lemon traveled extensively to multiple base locations, both statewide and internationally in Germany. Following his tours of duty with the U.S. Army, William worked in business at Moore Business Forms, and then as a Realtor at Coldwell Banker. As a Realtor, he graduated from the Master Sales Academy.

His legacy includes his wife of sixty-seven years, and children. Three children: Troy Elton, William, Jr., and Ura B., preceded him in death. He leaves behind five children: Sandra, Brenda, Tony, Sherry, and Kenneth. Along with a host of devoted grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind a brother J.W. Lemon of Alabama. His devoted son and daughter-in-law, also cherish his memory. As his family say goodbye, we remember the husband, father, grandfather, and leader he has been.

We release him into the arms of God. May beautiful memories bring us peace during this difficult time.
