Mrs. Viola Robertson Allen was born July 8, 1933 in Marshall, Texas, the beloved daughter of Melissa Katherine Lacy Robertson and Taft Goff. She grew up in Marshall, Texas, attending school through the 8th grade year. She attended church with her family and accepted Christ at an early age. As an adult, she lived in Fort Worth, Texas, where she had her first child. She married Arto Allen and was a homemaker, caring for her growing family with love. When her beloved husband passed away unexpectedly, she returned to Marshall where she attended Zion Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Allen had 8 children, two passing away as infants. After raising her 6 children, she later relocated, living in California, Washington, and Garland, Texas with her oldest daughter, Kay Frances and son-in-law, Larry. She attended Greater Mount Olive Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas. After Kay's death, she returned home to Marshall to be cared for by her loving daughters Patricia and Violet. Mrs. Allen transitioned to heaven on Saturday, April 11, 2020 at Longview Regional Medical Center in Longview, Texas. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, husband, Arto Allen; daughters, Kay Frances Jones Fuller, Linda Faye Allen, and Kayla Allen; sons, Willie Ray Allen and Michael Earl Allen; granddaughter, Kajuana Antoinette Jones; great grandson, Joseph Colbert, Jr.; and great, great grandchildren, Jayceon Williams and MaKenzie Faith Allen-Johnson. Mrs. Allen leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Patricia Ann Allen, Violet Marie Allen Jones (Floyd Jones) and Joycelyn Coleman (Herman Coleman); son, George Anderson Jones (Eletha Williams-Jones); son-in-law, Larry Fuller; 15 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 15 great, great grandchildren. She also leaves behind an aunt, Ovada Stauts, and a host of extended family and friends who loved her dearly.
