Vincent Spratling was born August 20, 1965, to Rozella Spratling and Ivory Brookes in Marshall, Texas. He attended school until his mothers death in 1978. After that he went on to a foster care facility. At the age of 16 he moved in with his older brother Robert Spratling in Marshall, Texas. There he learned many trades. He even started his own business called Bulldogs Repair Contractor. He worked in this profession for over 30 years, up until his death.

Preceding him in death is his mother, Rozella Spratling, his brothers Robert Spratling, Ray Spratling, and Victor Spratling.

Precious moments will be left by his father Ivory Brookes of Athens, Texas, his sisters Patricia Johnson, Stephanie Felton and Sharon (Leon) Price  of Longview, Texas, his brothers Ronnie Spratling, Mark (Annette) Isom  of Longview, Texas and Zachery Spratling of Denton, Texas. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, friends, his special friend Shirlyn Whatley and special daughter Stacy (Chris) Hodge.
