OBITUARY

Thurman Walton, Sr. AKA "CATFISH" and "BON BLACK" was born in Marshall, Texas on December 8th, 1947 to Ollie Walton, Sr. and Obelia Brown Walton.

Early in life he was baptized and gave his life to Christ at St. John Baptist Church. Thurman Walton graduated H. B. Pemberton High School in 1966 and joined the U. S. Air Force as a (MP) Military Police.

Shortly after he joined the military he met the love of his life, Queen Walton, and married her in May of 1970 and this union brought three children.

After the military, Thurman was later employed by (Darco) American Norit and retired after 30 years.

One thing you knew about Thurman L. Walton is that he truly loved his family.

On March 26, 2021, God called Thurman Lee Walton, Sr. to rest at his eternal home where he will never have to suffer again. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie and Obelia Walton, his siblings, Melba Wright, Ollie Walton, Jr. Annie Jones, Richard Walton and Tommy Walton.

Thurman Walton, Sr. is survived by his wife of 50 years, Queen Walton; two daughters, Tinika Walton Jones (Richard) of Fort Worth, TX, and Monique Green (Antionne) of Lancaster, TX.; and one son, Thurman Walton, Jr. (Ebony) of Duncanville, TX; three granddaughters, Moniqueece Green, Makiyah Green and Talia Jones; three grandsons, Thurman Walton, III, Rashard L. Jones and Tylan Walton. He is also survived by five sisters, Lola Smith of Marshall, TX, Doris Rogers of Houston, TX, Mattie Black of Dalllas, TX, Obelia McCoy of Dallas, TX and Dorothy Fletcher of Killeen, TX and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
