Theodis "Buddy"{ Lane was born on July 13, 1927 to the late Archie Lee Lane, Sr. and Berena Daniels Lane Webb in Harrison County, Texas in the Ebenezer Community. He was educated in the Ebenezer Public Schools.

Theodis loved life and had a magnetic personality that drew people to him. He had a great sense of humor. Buddy was fun to be around, never a dull moment.

Theodis departed this life on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at the Marshall Manor Nursing Facility surrounded by his family.

Theodis was preceded in death by his father, Archie Lee Lane, Sr.; his mother, Berena Daniels Lane Webb; two brothers, Curtis Bell Lane, Sr. and Archie Lee Lane, Jr.; two nephews, Curtis Bell Lane, Jr. and Walter Earl Wheeler, III; and one niece, Helen Wheeler Bonner.

Theodis leaves to cherish his memories, his nephew, Clarence (Debra) Lane of Houston, Texas; his nieces Berlean Lane Henderson of Fultondale, AL and Nova Kaye Hurd Moore of Marshall, TX; great nephews Rufus (Amy) Bonner of Houston, TX, Yere Henderson of Tallahassee, FL, William (Sabrina) Moore of Denver, CO; great nieces, April Bonner of Houston, TX, Bridgette Jo Nell Lane of Houston, TX, Kadi (Will) Alston of Fultondale, AL, LaBritney Lane of Houston, TX, Chevon Lane of Houston, TX, Kendra (Byron) McClanahan of Atlanta, GA, and Tawakoni "Niki" (Derek) Turner of Marshall, TX.
