For God so loved the world He gave His only begotten son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but shall have everlasting life.

Sallie Mae Stephens age 98, passed away Tuesday morning July 14, 2020 at Christus Good Shepherd Medical Center.

Sallie Mae Stephens was Born to the late Henry Haynes and Mertha Franklin Haynes in Marshall, Texas on May 14, 192

She was united in marriage with Mr. Ivory Stephens and had seventeen beautiful children. Five of the children preceded her in also sons, Ivory  Stephens, Jr., David Stephens, Billy Stephens and Cedric Stephens. One brother and four sisters preceded her in death, L. V. Haynes, Mary Haynes, Luvenia Stephens, Erma Spearman and Aslena Haynes Johnson.

Sallie Mae Stephens received her education from Caddo Parish schools. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Starlight Baptist Church and later united at Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. She loved singing in the choir and spending time with her family.

She leaves to cherish her memory (1) sister, Tommie Louise Williams of Greenwood, Louisiana; (11) beautiful daughters , Mary Miller, Exxie B. Hunter, Helen Stephens, Dasie Lee Robinson, Margie Raven, Mellisa Anderson, and Bobbie Stephen all of Dallas, Texas, Earnestine Everhart and Pamela Fields of Greenwood, Louisiana, Bertha Jean Robinson (Cleamo Robinson) of Karnack, Texas, Denise Moore of Waskom, Texas, and one son, John Stephens of Waskom, Texas; thirty-seven grandchildren, sixty-two great grandchildren, seventeen great, great grandchildren, and one great, great, great granddaughter; a host of nieces, nephews, other relives and friends.
