OBITUARY

Oland (Big O) Buffin was born to the parentage of Sam Buffin and Novella Smith Buffin the day after Christmas, December 26, 1947 in Marshall, Texas. The Lord called him home early Easter morning. Both parents preceded him in death.

He was the 2nd oldest of five siblings. He never married and had no children. Oland was blessed with a praying mother that raised him in the church. He attended Ft. Worth Schools. Oland loved his family, going to church and had a heart of gold. Oland had a great memory of people, directions and old addresses. He had the unique ability to identify almost any car by sight. Everyone that met him loved him. He loved to dress and always made sure everything matched. Oland attended daily workshop activities. He was a resident in the Educare System in Longview, Texas these past several years. Oland was an active member of Harrison Street Church of Christ in Longview until he became ill.

Oland leaves to mourn his death sisters, Rosey Braziel of Ft. Worth, TX, Birdell Luddington of Waskom, TX, Ellen Buffin of Waskom, TX and brother, Daniel Buffin (Pamela) of Waskom, TX. A host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
