MiMi Voncille Edwards Davis was born to Raymond Johnson and Ethel Edwards on August 26, 1967, in Marshall, Harrison County, Texas.

MiMi grew up in the Saint Mark Baptist Church and later united with Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She attended the public schools of Marshall, Texas and earned a degree from Texas State Technical College in Marshall. She married Joseph C. Davis, Jr. and they raised five loving children: Kendric, Joseph III, Broderick, Keon, and Diamond.

MiMi was employed by Harrison County Sherriff's Department as well as Blue Cross Blue Shield in Marshall, Texas.

MiMi departed this life on Sunday, November 7, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph C. Davis Jr. and her eldest son, Kendric Junon Edwards Davis.

MiMi leaves to mourn her passing, her parents, Raymond and Ethel; four children, Joseph III, Broderic, Keon, and Diamond; seven grandchildren, Ebony, K'Deric, Ariel, Tahj, Kashius, Alaijah, and Mathias; one sister, Micole (Ulric); aunts, Lucille, Claudette, Mary, Joe, and Bobbie; uncles, George (Deborah) and Ervin; and a host of other relatives and friends.
