Margie Nell Vance was born December 31, 1953 in Marshall, Texas to Adam Vance and Annie Laura Price Vance. At an early age she united with Pine Grove Baptist Church. After graduating from Marshall High School in the Class of 1972 she moved to Dallas, Texas.

Margie Nell was united in holy matrimony to Willie James Small, Jr. She had no children. She worked at Baylor Medical Center in Irving, Texas as a Respiratory Therapist until her death. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, cooking, fishing, gardening, and most of all, shopping.

Margie Nell is preceded in death by both of her parents and her husband.

Margie Nell leaves to cherish her memory: three sisters, Bertha Faye Vance of Marshall, Texas; Marilyn Vance Rider (Troy) of Longview, Texas and Febbie Vance Gill of Marshall, Texas; four brothers, LeRoy Vance, Sr., Herman Earl Vance, Bernard Roy Vance and Brainard Ray Vance all of Marshall, Texas ; two nieces, Jasmine Marlena Rider of Carthage, Texas and Linda Fay Tamplin of Marshall, Texas ; a hos of loving relatives and friends.
