Juanita Thompson-Tucker (Sis) was born May 29, 1925 to the parents of Frank Lucious Thompson and Rachel Rosborough-Thompson in Knox City, Texas. After moving to Marshall, Texas, she was educated at Fair Point Elementary and H. B. Pemberton High School. Her education was furthered by taking courses at Wiley College. Later, she graduated in Cosmetology from Espanola School of Beauty. She established Hollywood Beauty Salon in her neighborhood where she served for well over 50 years.

Juanita was united in holy matrimony to Weldon Tucker on August 23, 1946.

She was a longtime member of the Greater Rock Spring Baptist Church on Highway 43. Because of her love for the church, she served in many roles, such as Janitor, Secretary, Sunday School Teacher and Chairman of the Trustee Board. There was a genuine love for God and a deep love for Greater Rock Spring Baptist Church.

Her passion in Beauty and Fashion caused her to participate in many organizations such as Marshall Progressive Beauty Club, Aires Business Women, the Beauty Culturists League, State and National Schools, as well as being a member of the N.A.A.C.P.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Rachel Thompson and two brothers, McKinley Thompson and Alexander Thompson, Sr.

She leaves to cherish her memory cousin, Raymond Rosborough and wife Janice of Marshall, Texas; nephew Charles Thompson and wife Shelby of Houston, Texas; a special god-daughter, Pamela and daughter Janie; god-daughter, Susie Patterson of Marshall, Texas; god-son, Princeton B. Williams of Atlanta, Georgia; a special niece, Shirley Morris and husband, Rev. Clifford Morris of Houston, Texas; along with a host of other cousins, great nieces, nephews, friends, customers and a loving church family.
