Jessie Abercrombie was born November 18, 1945 in Elysian Fields, Texas, the son of Jimmy "Jim" Abercrombie and Estella Nickerson Abercrombie.

Jessie united with the Elysian Fields Baptist Church at an early age. He also attended school in Elysian Fields, Texas.

Early in life, he was united in marriage to Sandra Bell of Marshall, Texas. His children Tanya and Jesse reside in Dallas area grandchildren Grant and Ava also live in the Dallas area.

Jessie (aka, Jake) grew up in a large loving family. He was some kind of chef, prepared delicious meals for his family.He was also an avid fan of gaming. Can we say he loved being the life of the party.

From his large siblings family deceased are Nelson, Curtis, Jimmy, Ella V., Lois and Edward; living are Mary, Jessie, J. C., Rufus, Albert Ray (Minnie), Pearl and Dorothy; also a host of nieces, nephews, grands and great grands.
