Jearld Lynn Reeves was born to the Lucile Reeves Stevens on April 21, 1961 in Marshall, Texas. He attended Marshall ISD. Jearld Lynn Reeves came to know the Lord at an early age at St. John Baptist Church in Marshall, Texas.

On February 1, 1992 Jearld Lynn Reeves married Monicia Williams. They were married for 23 years before divorcing in 2015. Jearld had 1 child before and 2 children during the marriage. In 2010 he became a member of House of Faith Ministries in Carthage, Texas where he experienced a personal relationship with God.

Jearld loved football, he was one of the first board members of the little league football team in Carthage, Texas. His favorite high school team was Carthage Bulldogs. His favorite NFL team was the New Orleans Saints. Mr. Reeves loved his family dearly.

Jearld was preceded in death by his mom,Lucile Reeves Stevens, brother, Robert Charles Dotson and sister, Johnnie C. Cannon.

Mr. Jerald Reeves leaves to cherish his memory 3 children, Jameisha Young Tucker (Darryl Tucker), Johnathan Reeves (Alicia Staten) and Kendrick Reeves; 3 grandchildren, Darryl Tucker, Jr., Jayla Tucker and Da'Vaughn Tucker; 1 brother, John Lively; 1 brother-in-law, Carl Cannon; 2 special nephews that he helped raise as his own, Corey Dotson and Keon Berry; special mother-in-law, Ms. Ella Williams; best friends, Edward Allen and Larry Smith; nephews, Terrence Cole, Randy Odom, JaTavion Spillmon, Byronn Smith, Robert and R. J. Williams, Anthony Williams, Alfred Brooks and Christian Brooks; nieces, Naudia Waters, Crystal Brooks, Nikki and Jessica Cole and Ashley Williams; 4 sisters-in-law, Mercy Odom, Elizabeth Waters, Natalie Cole and Alice Williams; ex-wife, Monicia Reeves Glaspie and a host of other relatives and friends.
