Funeral services for Ivy Lee Cooper, 84, will be held Friday, Marsh 14, 2025 at the Macedonia United Methodist Church in Jefferson, TX. at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery. Viewing will be Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Lewis Funeral Home from 1 to 6:00 p.m. Mrs. Cooper was born August 29, 1940, in Lisbon, Louisiana and died March 8, 2025, in Dallas, TX.

Ivy Lee Cooper was born to Nevada and West Jones on August 29,1940.

Ivy was the twelfth child of fourteen children. She was educated in Homer, Louisiana. She worked for National Linen Services for many years. Ivy then met the love of her life, Eugene Cooper and they married on August 31, 1976.

Ivy was preceded in death by her husband, mother and father, brothers and sisters, along with one of her bonus children.

The Lord called Ivy home on March 8, 2025, and she answered his called.

Ivy leaves to cherish her memory: one sister, Marvas Smith of Dallas, Texas; seven bonus children, Donald Ray Jones of Dallas, Texas, Robert Cooper (Belinda), Evelyn Montgomery (Lee), Ralph Cooper, Eugene Cooper (Olivia), Randall Cooper, and Brenda Haliburton (Glen); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.
