Gloria Ann Anderson, 68, of Marshall, Texas passed away on May 4, 2019. She was born to the late Sam and Thessa Anderson on October 1, 1950 in Marshall, Texas. Although Gloria was normally quiet when you saw her, she was an articulate speaker and political novice and loved to discuss her views on politics and religious beliefs. She loved shopping and dressing up. Gloria had a green thumb for planting flowers and watching them grow. Now she is working in God's rose garden.

Gloria graduated from H. B. Pemberton High School, Marshall, Texas in 1968 and received a Bachelor of Arts from East Texas Baptist University in Marshall, Texas. She later completed post graduate work in education at Stephen F. Austin University. While attending SFA, Gloria was on the charter line of the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and cross over as the first pledge of that new chapter. Gloria worked at various positions in the Marshall ISD and was avid caregiver to the elderly.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Edward J. Anderson, Sr. She leaves to cherish her memories a sister, Betty Anderson and a brother, Rodney Anderson; friend and sister-in-aw, Linda Anderson and devoted friend Barbara Johnson. She also leaves one niece, Sheryll Anderson, three nephews, Christopher Anderson, Christian Anderson (Lauren) and Edward J. Anderson, Jr. and one great niece Madison Anderson and a host of supportive cousins and friends.
