Funeral services for Florecita Jones, 67, will be held, Saturday, August 10, 2024, in the Lewis Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in DeBerry, TX. Viewing will be Friday, August 9, 2924, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. and Visitation will be from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. all at Lewis Funeral Home.

Sister Florectia Tucker Jones was born on January 30, 1957, in Marshall, Texas to the parentage of Mrs. Qullia Mae Woodrow and Mr. Wise Tucker. She departed this life August 4, 2024, at her home. She attended Marshall Public Schools and was a graduate of Marshall Sr. High School; Class of 1975. She was a member of Westside Church of Christ for several years and later became a member of Grand Way Church of Christ where she remained a faithful member until her calling. She was previously employed at Monarch Tile for several years, and later at Willoughby Correction Center as a supervisor. Florecita was preceded in death by her father, Mr. Wise Tucker; mother, Mrs. Qullia Mae Woodrow; sister, Carolyn Cochran; brothers, Jimmy Tucker, Augusta Tucker, Edward Tucker, Zackey Tucker and Darrell Tucker. She was the 7th child of 16 children, 8 boys and 8 girls. To embrace her memory is her husband of 31 years, Robert Jones; one goddaughter, Porsha Mitchell, whom she loved dearly; 6 sisters, Annie (Charles) Thomas, Linda (Henry) Phelps, Alma Tucker all of Marshall, TX., Debra (David) Bryant of Grand Prairie, TX., Bobbie Joyce Tyson of Ennis, TX. and Jacqueline Johnson of Arlington, TX.; 3 brothers, Clifford (Bonnie) Perkins of Moreno Valley, CA., Lawrence (Gayle) Tucker of Marshall, TX. and Bobby Tucker of Seattle, WA.; a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
