Dorothy Ann Hill was born February 21, 1954, in Waskom, Texas. She was the middle child born to Eddie Sr and Dorothy Brown. Dorothy accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of New Boggy Baptist Church. She attended Booker T. Washington High School and furthered her education by becoming a certified Nurse's Aide. Dorothy was a passionate and caring mother to all who knew her. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt.

Dorothy was called to eternal rest on January 19, 2022, after battling cancer for a short while. She is now reunited with her late husband, David Earl Hill, Sr. her father and mother Eddie Brown Sr, and Dorothy Mae Brown along with her three sisters, Ella Brown, Dessie Benton and Gladys Brown.

She leaves to cherish her memory five children; Lavonza and Ratchel Brown of Elysian Fields, Texas, Sharon Van of Beaumont, Texas, David and Monica Hill of Waskom, Texas, Toniser Hill of Marshall, Texas and Isaac and Kierra Hill of Marshall, Texas. 14 grandchildren, Kristofer Johnson, Johnathene Brown, Cindy Hagain, DaKievian Luster, Dechante Hill, Ja Taylor Van, Jasmine Van, Dalyn Hill, Daisa Hill, John Van, JaVon Van, Isavian Hill, Jaylene Brown, Dezarae Smith and 7 great-grandchildren.

She also leaves 3 sisters Faye Hardeman of Dallas, Texas, Juanita and Sonny Draper of Shreveport, La. and Carolyn Fletcher of Waskom, Texas and 1 brother Eddie Brown Jr. of Bossier, La. and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
