Funeral services for Albert Ray Abercrombie will be Saturday, November 25, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in the Lewis Funeral Home Chapel. Viewing is Friday, November 24, 2023, from 1 to 5:00 p.m. and visitation from 5 to 6:00 p.m. at Lewis Funeral Home.

Mr. Albert Ray Abercrombie was born February 29, 1949, in Elysian Fields, Texas. His parents were the late Jim Abercrombie and the late Estella Nickerson Abercrombie.

Albert attended the Booker T. Washington High School where he played baseball, and they won the championship several years.

Early in life, Albert met the love of his life, Minnie Marie Rollison and they were blessed with two children.

Mr. Albert Ray Abercrombie departed this life Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at his home in Marshall, Texas. He was preceded in death by six brothers, Nelson Abercrombie, Curtis Abercrombie, Jimmy Abercrombie, Jake T. Abercrombie, Edward Abercrombie and Jessie Abercrombie; and two sisters, Ella V. Smith and Lois Sterling.

Those who will cherish his memory include: his wife, Minnie Marie Abercrombie; three sons, Alonzo, Albert and Kenneth; three sisters, Alice P. Hudson, Mary Robinson and Dorothy Wood; two brothers, James Abercrombie and Rufus Abercrombie; nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
